My last post was almost a month ago and about Christmas so I thought I better get on here and make another post.
From January 2nd to the 12th I was on another NCL ship for a 10 day Cruise, I just thought I would share the pictures I took. I should warn you, there are A LOT of them!
I was on the same ship though, the Norwegian Jewel, but this time I departed from New York City on January 2nd, you may find the pictures I took there here.
From there I was at sea for 2 days and then I arrived at San Juan, Puerto Rico (Pictures Here) on January 5th, I didn’t do too much there, mainly just walking around a bit.
The next day I arrived at St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands (Pictures Here), I pretty much just walked and shopped around there. Nothing out of the ordinary there though, just your typical tourist prices. I will admit that the place looks nice though and if you’re ever there, be sure to stay for the beautiful sunset.
On January 7th we arrived in St. John’s, Antigua (Pictures Here), I decided to just stay on the ship that day though, I did still manage to get some nice pictures.
January 8th was a good day though, we arrived at Philipsburg, St. Maarten (Pictures here). While there I went on a “Taxi Tour” of the Island, starting in Philipsburg and around the Dutch side of the island, St. Maarten, and then around the French side, St. Martin. While there we also stopped at Orient Beach, which was supposed to be a nude beach but sadly there were no people there nude, just tourists of course. I think I took the most pictures there compared to any place on my cruise.
Finally the last island is upon us, Tortola, British Virgin Islands (Pictures Here). There were some magnificent views there. We took a Taxi to a beach and saw some very nice views from up high on the way.
The last 2 days were sea days as we headed back to New York City, I took some pictures around the ship, including the Chocolate Buffet, if you look at some of the pictures you can tell I got bored sometimes. 😛 Some nights when we came back to our room there would be a towel origami animal waiting on our beds, those pictures can be found here.
You may find all of the pictures from this cruise (January 2011) and my last cruise (March 2010) here.
Nintendo 3DS
The Nintendo 3DS was revealed at 2010’s E3 as the first 3D handheld device to not require glasses.
Well guess what, the Nintendo 3DS FINALLY has a launch date and launch price!
It will launch on the 25th of March for Europe and 27th of March for North America. The price for the 3DS in North America will be $250 ($249.99) and the price for the 3DS in Europe will be determined by retailers.
It will come in “Cosmo Black” and “Aqua Blue”, will be backwards compatible with DS games, and will include a 2GB memory card (upgradable of course). The Nintendo 3DS has 2 ip camera wifi trackers on the back and one on the front, it will be capable of taking 3D pictures and with a future firmware upgrade it might take 3D videos also. I’m missing quite a few details but check the sources at the bottom of this post for more.
The following games (plus many more, 30 games in total) are confirmed to launch between March 28th and June:
Third party games:
The Sims (EA); Ridge Racer 3D (Namco Bandai); Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (Capcom); Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D (Capcom); Dead of Alive: Dimensions (Tecmo); Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (Konami); Madden Football (EA); Asphalt 3D (Ubisoft); Combat of Giants (Ubisoft): Dinosaurs; Lego Star Wars (Lucasarts)
Nintendo games:
Pilotwings Resort; Nintendogs + Cats; SteelDiver; Kid Icarus Uprising; Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Wheew, that’s enough for this blog post, I didn’t think it would be this long.
For those who read it all, thanks for reading!
